Now may be the LCD (Liquid Christal Display) are common around us, many electronic devices that use LCD contain Items, such as CD Music, Clock, Digital Clock, Laptop Computers, and flat screen monitor. the LCD is very popular because it has several advantages over other display technologies. the LCD is lighter, thinner and use less power from the device, such as if we compare with CRTs (Cathode Ray tube)
LCD, or liquid crystal display is the electronic-modulated optical device shaped thin, flat panel consisting of a number of color or monochrome pixels filled with liquid crystals and arrayed in front of the light source (background) or reflector. And they take advantage of very small amount of electrical energy, so often used in battery-powered electronic devices
The LCD utilize two sheets of polarizing material with a liquid crystal solution between them. Electric current is passed through the liquid crystal to adjust the light so that they can not pass. Each crystal, therefore, is like a shutter, either allowing light to pass or block light. Liquid crystals can be aligned by both electric and magnetic fields. The strength of the necessary magnetic field is too high will be eligible for display applications.
Monochrome LCD images usually appear blue or dark gray images on top of a white background grayish. Color LCD displays use two basic techniques for producing color: Passive matrix cheaper of the two technologies. Most LCD screens used in notebook computers are backlit, or transmissive, to make them easier to read.
